Dead-End Flushing

The first week of each month the end of water mains and lines are flushed by a water board member. Dead-End Flushing is required monthly by the Texas Administrative Code. It prevents sediment and potential bacteria from building up in lines.

From start to finish dead-end flushing in The Woods takes about 1.5 hours. Follow along with a board member and learn more about the water system. Bring shoes you do not mind getting wet. Use the Contact Us link to express interest or contact a board member directly using the contact information in The Woods Directory.
